Clubhouse's Booking Policy
The Committee is aware of the conflict that may arise between the Club's commercial activities and the rights of members to enjoy the facilities of the clubhouse.
We feel sure members will recognise the need to optimise the Club's hire programme so that we can meet the increasing costs of providing the facilities and running the playing sections of the Club. However, we want to do this without alienating members and the following policy has therefore been devised to achieve a sensible balance:
1. The Club will not accept bookings for any date that might conflict with a known rugby or sporting event.
2. Where a booking has been accepted for a Saturday evening when the 1st XV has an away game, the Club Manager will advise the 1st team captain of the booking and its start time.
3. When such events take place the Club Manager will close the bar to members at 19.30 hours and require that members leave the premises before 20.00 hours.
We hope that members will respect this policy, which becomes effective immediately, as a constructive approach to satisfying the best interests of the Club and its members.
