Bracknell RFC u15 A's 12 v 36 Amersham and Chiltern u15 A's

Our boys travelled to Bracknell looking for a test and they were not disappointed. Firstly the pitch was interesting to say the least being a field of brown mud with little by the way of grass. Then Bracknell presented themselves as a big strong team determined to protect a good record on home soil (err mud!). Bracknell were tough no doubt and our lads worked hard to contain them in the scrums and at the breakdown but this was Bracknell's strength and we were turned over again and again. Our strength as ever was in securing our ball and using our skill, speed and agility. There was a beautiful phase of slick, skillfull inter-play which resulted in a fine team try. And then all on the sidelines may have thought Ollie Choules unwise to try to run the ball out from our try line....but by now we should know he knows what he is doing and assisted by George Stokes blistering pace they scored (in my view) the try of the day running the full length of the pitch and leaving the ball between the posts. Marred by a couple of injuries (best wishes to Max and Adam for a swift recovery) and some breakdown in discipline by Bracknell resulting from frustration, the score fairly reflected the run of play but credit to Bracknell for sticking to the task and giving us a tough mornings work.
